What Do Alzheimer's Patients Really Want and Need?

Did you ever ask yourself, what do Alzheimer's Patients really want and need?

For example, if a person living with dementia asks the same question over and over, what do they want? Or, what do they need?

If they engage in the same activity over and over what do they want?

Is redirection really the answer? Does redirection solve the problem on an ongoing basis? Or does it solve the problem until the next time it happens?

How do you make an Alzheimer's patient that is dull and not there, engaging and more there?

I'll attack these questions soon, in the meantime what do you think?
